Bees in my humming bird feeder, how do I prevent them and keep the hummingbirds?

I have tried making a sweeter feed mix 2 to 1 sugar water, in an another feeder and attracting the bees away, from the 4 to one hummingbird mix, (didn't work) the bees just used both feeders, I tried spraying the bees and the feeder with soap and water, it chased the bees away for about 5 min but the soap migrates into the syrup and is not as attractive to the birds, The bees still come.Bees in my humming bird feeder, how do I prevent them and keep the hummingbirds?
i had the same problem. i just moved the feeder and the bees never found it again. the first was over flowers and the second higher and next to a picture window. could be the height is what did it??? 1st was about 5 ft. second was almost 8. i have never had bees on the high one.Bees in my humming bird feeder, how do I prevent them and keep the hummingbirds?
Be careful of what you spray on the feeders, I don't know what you can do with the bees, but I do know that you can harm the birds spraying with soap or insecticides. Maybe you can locate where the bees are coming from and take it from there.
I have the same trouble. I found that if I feed Hummingbirds,the bees will be there too. But I have yellow jackets too. The hummingbirds seem to ignore them.
