I have one hanging under an apple tree in our back yard, I put it out because he was coming to my suet feeder that had a mix with orange in it. We have a sitting are under the same tree with lots of other trees and though I believe they are shy birds, he doesn't seem to mind us being around. It is very sheltered all around so he's no clearly seen by predator birds...we have a few hawks around.Where in a backyard is the best place to hang an oriole bird feeder?
Close enough to a tree that the bird will have cover,but not so close that you can't see it! Put some orange halves out for them,and they also love grape jelly!
