my mom wants to know so she can put hers upHow much water and sugar do you use for 12oz humming bird feeder?
1:3 ratio is for cold weather and pre-migration .... 1:4 is better for daily summer feeding.....

hummers don't LIVE on this stuff.... it's junk food to them.... they use the energy they get from our feeders to get zippy so they can go to flowers and catch bugs, too!....How much water and sugar do you use for 12oz humming bird feeder?
1 part sugar, 3 parts water, and store the extra in the refrigerator for up to 3 days.
the mixture is 2 1/2 parts water to 1 part sugar
