I'm not an expert but they looked like rats and had light coloured feet.Would a rat climb a small tree and eat from a bird feeder?
This is very common, also rats need to gnaw on things to keep their teeth from growing too long and causing problems.Rats are extremely intelligent and learn very quickly.Would a rat climb a small tree and eat from a bird feeder?
Oh yes!!. You have provided a source of food so more will come. They climb on trees, fences, roofs, I have seen them scale up stucco walls to get through a vent hole. Move the feeder around to a different spot .
Rats often climb to feed, the Black Rat (Rattus Rattus) which is seldom black is better, more enthusiastic climber than a Brown Rat (Rattus Norvegicus) although what you describe is scant enough to leave many candidates.
if it looks like any of these then its a rat http://uk.images.search.yahoo.com/search鈥?/a>
rats do climb trees, after all its free food, and they climb nearly as good as monkeys
Absolutely!! Rats will climb anything to get food if they are hungry enough.
They are either rats or mice.I live in the countryside and I usually get the little basterds climbing up a tree and taking nuts out of a bird feeder
